Schön Capital Markets Limited was incorporated as a public limited company on 23rd January 1992 under Companies Ordinance 1984 with registration no. K–03390 and Certificate for Commencement of Business was issued 9th February 1992.

It was inducted as a Member of the Karachi Stock Exchange w.e.f. 11th March 1992.

Demutualization and integration of the stock exchanges into a single seamless nation–wide exchange the “Pakistan Stock Exchange” with an expanded market outreach through a single national trading platform for equity and debt securities, whose ultimate beneficiaries are savers and investors as well as companies, intermediaries and entrepreneurs.

Pakistan’s reclassification to MSCI, Emerging Market Index (MSCI–EM) from MSCI Frontier Market Index (MSCI–FM), which is tracked by equity global funds worth over US$ 1.5 trillion whereby we as a humble player like others visualize new capital inflows which will increase liquidity, free float of shares and volumes in the capital markets, and also put our local market in the international limelight.

Enhanced investor protection due to a focused reform agenda by our apex and frontline regulators (Securities Act 2015, Futures Market Act 2016, Joint Inspection Regime for brokers, Code of Corporate Governance) that centre on greater transparency, risk management and investor protection, whose success is evidenced by an increase in KSE–100 Index from 5865 points in 2008 soaring to 45,000 points in 2016, and surge in market Capitalization of PSX from US$ 23 billion in 2008 to US$ 723 billion by June 30, 2016.
